Leinster MFL final: double delight for Dubs

March 19, 2016

Parnell Park.

Dublin 1-15

Laois 0-9

Dublin completed a double over Laois at Parnell Park this afternoon when they enjoyed a comfortable victory in the Leinster minor football league final.

Having seen their U21 counterparts account for the O'Moore County in the Leinster U21 semi-final earlier, Paddy Christie's U18s weren't to be outdone as they fired a warning shot ahead of the start of the Leinster MFC next month.

There was little to separate the sides before Cormac Howley scored the only goal in the 29th minute to give the Dubs a 1-6 to 0-6 lead at the break.

Goalkeeper Evan Comerford nailed a '45' after the restart and the hosts gradually pulled away thereafter. Afterwards, Leinster Council chairman John Horan presented the trophy to Dublin skipper James Holland.
