Position: Defender

County debut: In the O'Byrne Cup against Wexford in 2004 and in the championship versus Antrim in 2005

Sporting hero: Richie McCaw, Denis Irwin and Kevin Sinfield. Sinfield played 15 years for the Leeds Rhinos and came second in the BBC Sport Personality this year. He's very cool. I love rugby league.

Favourite musician: Luke Kelly

Biggest achievement: Captaining Longwood to Meath and Leinster junior football championship titles We hadn't won a championship in 70 years.

Toughest opponents: Stephen O' Neill (Tyrone) and Andy Moran (Mayo)

Favourite song: Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones

Pre-match ritual: I like to do a bit of exercise the morning of a match, eg light weights or a jog /foam rolling. I shower, have a small bite to eat but not much as I like to feel light but I do have plenty of coffee with Biggy Reilly

Best player played with: Trevor Giles and Seamus Kenny

Favourite actor: Denzil Washington

Biggest influence on your career: My father from a young age and Sean Boylan for giving me a chance. Bob O'Malley for believing in me and telling me I could become an inter county defender.

Ambition for 2016: Win Leinster SFC
