Tipperary GAA secretary Tim Floyd has stated that it would be in the best interests of the county to scale back development plans at Dr Morris Park.
A proposed €2 million development at what has been described as the 'busiest grounds in the county' has been put on hold as the county board explore their options.
There has been a great deal of work done on the famed old venue up until this year, but the county board have decided to take a step back for the time being and Flynn revealed to last night's convention a more moderate development would be sufficient.
"If we budget a spend of €1.25 million and a commitment already from Munster Council of a €500k grant and further possibilities from Croke Park and Sports Capital grants we should have a very manageable situation which we can be very proud of," said Floyd.
