Former Donegal footballer Brendan Devenney has laid the blame for his lack of success at inter county level firmly at the feet of the then management team.
A new book called GAA Sporting Regrets has been launched where a number of past GAA stars reveal their biggest regret in sport.
Devenney speaks about the three Ulster finals Donegal lost to Armagh in the 2000s and although it could be debated whether this is an actually regret, he feels the failure was down to the management team of the time.
"Is this a regret? I suppose you could say so, but the reasons we lost were down to us not having a system and not analysing them (Armagh) as they did us," states Devenney.
"But the thing is, this was down to the management team and not me as a player. Our management directed our style of play and training, so I can't regret what I couldn't control at the time."
Devenney played for Donegal from 1998 to 2005 where he played under Declan Bonner, Mickey Moran, Brian McEniff and Brian McIver.
