Captain Ciaran Mullan believes Coleraine have underachieved since winning their maiden Derry SFC title in 2010.

On Sunday, and in front of the TG4 cameras, Eoghan Rua will attempt to unseat county and Ulster champions Slaughtneil in an eagerly-anticipated John McLaughlin Cup decider at Celtic Park.

"Five years is too long I would say," Mullan told the Coleraine Chronicle after leading his side to a semi-final victory over Ballinderry last Sunday.

"I would say we should have been in the final before now but we're there now. We're hungry and we want to win it and there's a lot of determination in the squad to win a second.

"Last time around in 2010 everything was new to us, but this time we're a lot more experienced.

"There was no call for celebration on Sunday. We beat Ballinderry but we haven't won anything yet. We're ready for the battle."
