November finish to Dublin SFC

The Dublin SFC won't be completed until November after Jim Gavin's men qualified for the All-Ireland final.

Dublin county board has announced that its senior football and hurling championships have been put on hold until after the big game against Kerry in 13 days' time. The SHC will resume on September 27, followed by a full programme of SFC Round 2 games the following weekend. The SFC Round 1 ties between Lucan Sarsfields and Castleknock, and St. Sylvester's and St. Pat's, Palmerstown still have to be decided.

The SHC quarter-finals are slated for Wednesday, October 7, semi-finals for the weekend of October 11 and final for the weekend of October 25.

The SFC quarter-finals will take place on the weekend of October 18, semi-finals on the weekend of October 25 and final on the weekend of November 1.

The football winners won't have much time to celebrate as they are down to play the Louth champions in the quarter-finals of the Leinster club SFC on November 8.
