Anthony Nash says goalkeepers will have to decide how they're going to face penalties under hurling's new trial rules.
Ironically, a rule change that was introduced in response to Nash's pioneering style of penalty-taking has ultimately resulted in goalkeepers - including Nash himself - facing penalty takers in a one-on-one scenario.
On Thursday night last, against UCC in the Canon O'Brien Cup, Nash was beaten by a well-placed penalty:
"It was a good strike that beat me, it was in off the post," he says in The Irish Examiner. "We just have to look at it now as goalkeepers and see what strategy to go with.
"Are you going to guess like soccer or are you going to stand up and take a chance?
"I only found out before the game that the trial was in straight away. You're not going to know how it goes until a couple of games in."
