Sarsfields 2-18
Glen Rovers 0-8

Cian McCarthy hit 0-10 as Sarsfields registered an emphatic victory over Glen Rovers to win their fourth Cork SHC title since 2008 at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

In a disappointingly one-sided game, the east Cork outfit never looked back after Tadhg Og Murphy scored the opening goal in the eighth minute to give them a 1-2 to 0-1 lead. With Cian McCarthy unerring from placed balls, Pat Ryan's charges went on to hold a 1-10 to 0-3 advantage at the break.

It continued to be one-way traffic in the second half as Sarsfields snuffed out the threat posed by The Glen's danger-man Pat Horgan, who was held scoreless from play. McCarthy, Gavin O'Loughlin and Eoin O'Sullivan piled on the points before former Cork captain Kieran 'Fraggy' Murphy added a second goal late on to complete the rout.
