Jason Gibbons has emerged an injury doubt for Mayo's Connacht SFC semi-final against Roscommon on June 8.

Gibbons, who formed a formidable midfield partnership with Aidan O'Shea throughout the Allianz League, suffered an ankle injury during a county training session on Friday evening and missed Ballintubber's Division 1A league victory over Ballina Stephenites on Saturday as a result.

If Gibbons - who started the first round win over New York earlier this month - is ruled out, Seamus O'Shea or Tom Parsons could take his place. O'Shea lined out at centre forward in Gaelic Park, but is better known as a midfielder.
