Sean O'Brien bursts through for Ireland. INPHO
Ireland rugby star Sean O'Brien was not in Paris cheering on his team mates to Six Nations glory, but instead was in Dr Cullen Park less than 24hrs later to help the Carlow footballers.
O'Brien missed the entire Six Nations campaign with a shoulder injury and during his break from rugby; he offered his services to Carlow football manager Anthony Rainbow to help on the mental side of the game.
The Irish international's influence was evident as they defeated Antrim last Sunday week, but they were out of luck last weekend when Wicklow defeated the home side comfortably.
Nevertheless, O'Brien was on hand to take the Carlow players that hadn't featured in the defeat to Wicklow for a post match work-out.
This is a testament of the desire of O'Brien as he could have been forgiven for travelling to Paris or indeed meeting his team mates in Dublin on their return.
