Derry forward Emmett McGuckin feels that the strength of their squad is part of the reason for their good start to the league campaign.
McGuckin played a man of the match role in the win over Kerry last weekend to ensure that the Oakleafers remain unbeaten after two games.
Despite receiving numerous plaudits for his performance last weekend, McGuckin stressed to the County Derry Post that their start was down to everyone in the squad.
"It's never about one or two players," said McGuckin. "That's the way it's always been. Boys step up no matter who's on or off the field. There's players there that would get on any county team across Ireland. It's a great panel we have at the minute.
"You're only as good as you're last game and you have to work hard. Whatever team Brian puts out, you have yo back it. If I'm on it, I'll work my hardest and if I'm not, I'll work my hardest to get back into the team."
