Antrim look set to be without Kevin Niblock for the foreseeable future after he signed a one-year contract with Irish Premiership champions Cliftonville.
The centre forward, who was one of the stars of St. Gall's All-Ireland club success in 2010 and helped Ulster to an Inter-provincial title win this year, previously played soccer for Amateur League side Rosaria Youth Club. He also played non-league while living in England.
"Kevin has been training with us recently and he is a fit, athletic lad who could slot into a number of roles," Cliftonville manager Tommy Breslin told the BBC.
"He'll get a few games under his belt before figuring for the first team. I anticipate that he may play centre midfield or centre-back but we'll wait and see. He has good awareness and good strength. He will certainly add to our squad."
The news is a blow to new Antrim manager Liam Bradley, whose son and Derry star Eoin is also currently playing in the Irish League with Coleraine.
