Tony Considine is the new manager of Galway club side Turloughmore.

The 1995 and '97 All-Ireland winning selector with Clare and media pundit takes over from Michael O'Donoghue, who has joined Tipperary manager Eamon O'Shea's backroom team for the coming season.

A native of Cratloe, Considine has won county titles in Limerick with Garryspillane and Kilmallock. He guided Garryspillane to the 2005 Limerick SHC title, and achieved similar success with Kilmallock in 2010 and 2012. In between, he spent one turbulent season in charge of Clare

The club of county stars Fergal Moore and David Burke, Turloughmore reached the Galway SHC quarter-final this year, only to suffer a surprise loss to Beagh. They won Galway MHC honours this year, so Considine will have plenty of young talent to work with.
