Tipperary's Noel McGrath hasn't ruled out the possibility of combining intercounty hurling and football at some point in the future.

The two-time All Star hurler played a key role as Loughmore-Castleiney pulled off a historic Tipperary hurling and football double this year.

The 22 year old would be a useful addition to the Premier County's football squad but intends to stick with the small ball code for the immediate future at least.

"There are players like Aidan Walsh and the boys in Clare thinking about doing it," he said to the Irish Daily Star.

"At the moment I'm fairly under pressure with college and stuff so I'll just be concentrating on hurling.

"You never know in the future but at the moment it'll just be hurling for me."
