Eoin Brosnan has announced his intercounty retirement after a career that spanned 14-years in a Kerry jersey.
The Dr Crokes player confirmed to Radio Kerry this afternoon that he would not be returning to Eamonn Fitzmaurice's panel.
A three time All-Ireland winner, the 33-year-old first lined out for the Kingdom in the 2000 NFL and because his club were the reigning county champions, captained Kerry during a number of their 2001 championship games in what was his debut year.
As well as seven Munster titles and two national leagues, Brosnan represented Ireland in two International Rules Series.
A solicitor in Killarney, Brosnan started his career in the half forwards and was renowned for his eye for goal. In more recent years he has been utilized as a centre back.
His retirement comes after that of Tomas O Se this autumn.
