Kennedy: it's great to be from Loughmore

Loughmore-Castleiney dual star David Kennedy
Former Tipperary hurler David Kennedy is loving life with Loughmore-Castleiney.
A Liam McCarthy Cup winner with the Premier County in 2001, Kennedy has been representing his club in both codes for 20 years now.
But prior to this year's sensational double, the 37-year-old - who lined out at full forward for the Kildare hurlers this year - had only won one SHC (2007) and one SFC (2004) with Loughmore.
"I think people under-appreciate how small a place it is," he comments in The Irish Daily Mirror. "It's less than 1,000 between the parishes of Loughmore and Castleiney.
"We have a very small pick of players and to achieve what we have achieved, it is a big achievement to have done it.
"It's great to say you're from Loughmore. I think people outside the parish and outside the county have got wind of the story of what was happening in the club."
