Devlin: Clonoe test can stand to us

Colin Devlin is hoping Ballinderry's preliminary round victory over Clonoe will give them a vital edge over Scotstown in Sunday's Ulster club SFC quarter-final at Clones.
"It was good to get into it," the Derry star said in the Irish News.
"It can't have done us any harm, put it that way. Clonoe are a good side and we had to be on our game to come through. The good thing is we've broken into Ulster now, we've got a game under our belt and it's more of the same for the next game."
Devlin is also hoping that the Shamrocks' greater experience at this level - Scotstown haven't played in the Ulster club SFC since 1993 - will prove decisive.
"You won't know until the day," he continued.
"If we come out winners, people will say Ballinderry's wee bit of experience might have told on the day. If we come out on the wrong side, then it's obviously not a factor.
"But I can't see it doing us any harm. We're in Ulster for the third year in-a-row, this group of fellas has been in Ulster a few times - some of them were involved in 2001 when we won Ulster and went on to win the All-Ireland."
