Video: 'Biggest moment of my life' says Cavan's Donna English
October 02, 2013

"It's the biggest moment of my life," declared Donna English.
Two years after suffering the heartbreak of an All-Ireland Final defeat, Cavan returned to Croke Park for a very different story on Sunday, September 29. Victory over Tipperary in the 2013 TG4 All Ireland Intermediate Championship Final brought tears of joy from an emotional captain.
"It's the biggest moment of my life," declared Donna English. "You dream of playing in Croke Park and to be a captain of such a great bunch of girls, and to win means all the more."
Donna and her co-manager Gerry Sheridan are confident that the success can boost a county already doing well in the sport. "It's great for Cavan," says Gerry. "We had good success this year at Under-14 and Under-16 levels, and today will keep Ladies Football going strong in Cavan."
