Kennedy leaves Orchard post

Armagh hurling manager David Kennedy
David Kennedy has stepped down as Armagh hurling manager after only one season in charge.
The Tipperary native, who succeeded Mickey Johnston in the role this time last year, guided the Orchard County to safety in Division 2B of the Allianz League before they were knocked out of the Christy Ring Cup and the Ulster SHC by neighbours Down. During the season, a number of players opted out, which Kennedy believes left his position "untenable".
The Silvermines clubman lasted just one year in the role and he took to twitter to announce his decision.
The former centre back tweeted last night: "I want to thank all the Armagh players for their efforts, but due to circumstances outside my control, I feel my position is untenable."
