Former kingpins Birr are all that stands between Kilcormac/Killoughey and back-to-back Sean Robbins Cups.
In yesterday's semi-finals at O'Connor Park, the Double Ks survived a major scare from Seir Kieran to win by 1-19 to 2-10, while Birr produced a storming finish to beat arch rivals St. Rynagh's by 0-16 to 1-7.
Kilcormac/Killoughey led 1-7 to 0-8 at half-time, but a Joe Bergin penalty had underdogs Seir Kieran ahead within seconds of the restart. The champions regained the lead, only for the Clareen men to level in the closing stages, 2-10 to 1-13, thanks to a Shane Ryan goal.
But Kilcormac showed their class by reeling off six unanswered points in the closing 10 minutes to reach another final.
In the other last four clash, Birr recovered from a 0-5 to 1-5 interval deficit to see off last year's finalists St. Rynagh's. Conor Hernon's goal had the Banagher side 1-4 to 0-2 in front after 17 minutes, but they could only manage three more points as Johnny Pilkington's charges closed out the game with six points without reply in the last 11 minutes.
