Murphy says Cork need to quieten the crowd

Cork's Nicholas Murphy
Nicholas Murphy has stressed the importance of Cork making a strong start to tomorrow's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Dublin.
The retired midfielder remembers how the Rebels left themselves with a mountain to climb after a slow start to the 2010 All-Ireland semi-final before eventually recovering to overtake the Dubs in the closing stages.
"Going back a few years ago, that game in 2010, atmosphere-wise, was the best game that I have ever been involved in. Dublin got a good start that day, and the Dubs were behind them all the way, and it is a massive advantage for them," he said in the Southern Star.
"Cork will need to start well, just to quieten the crowd. Even if they are just within a kick of a ball with 20 minutes to go, then Cork have a great chance because they do finish games strong. They showed that against Kerry and Galway.
"Going in as an underdog the next day will help as well because they won't fear Dublin. Cork have a good record against them in recent years, in the league and championship, but it will be important to get a good start, so to be there or thereabouts with 20 minutes to go.
"It's all about getting that good start to build on. If they do that, they have a great chance of causing an upset."
