Kerry and Tipperary meet in the quarter-final of the Munster SFC for the fourth year in a row on Sunday.
In last year's encounter at Semple Stadium the Kingdom prevailed on a scoreline of 0-16 to 0-10.
Kerry are, of course, under new management this year with Eamonn Fitzmaurice have taken over the reins from Jack O'Connor.
After a nervy Division 1 league campaign, Kerry came good at the end and managed to sidestep relegation.
Tipperary, meanwhile, narrowly missed out a FL Division 4 final appearance when losing out to Offaly in a winner-takes-all clash in the final round.
Peter Creedon will have to plan without the services of promising young forward Michael Quinlivan because of an ankle injury sustained in the aforementioned defeat to the Faithful County.
An All-Ireland minor winner two years ago, Quinlivan made his senior championship debut in the corresponding fixture 12 months ago and sent over two points of his side's final tally.
Kerry have injury problems of their own with captain Eoin Brosnan (thigh) set to miss out while forward Jonathan Lyne (ankle ligaments) is also expected to sit this one out.
With plenty of underage success under their belt in recent years, Tipperary have the potential to be a force to be reckoned with at senior level in the not too distant future but they have failed to win their opening game in the Munster SFC in the past nine seasons
That losing streak is unlikely to change this weekend.
