Necessary refurbishment work has been completed at MacCumhaill Park ahead of the Donegal v. Tyrone clash on Sunday week.

There has been plenty of talk about whether or not the game should be played in Ballybofey, but it will go ahead there after upgrade was completed this week.

MacCumhaill Park underwent a €150,000 in recent weeks in order to be ready for the eagerly awaited Ulster SFC clash.

Donegal Development Officer Michael McMenamin, who oversaw the work told the Donegal Democrat that Ulster Council had given their seal of approval.

"Danny Murphy and his officials carried out an inspection of the work carried out on Tuesday," said McMenamin. "We had a meeting with them afterwards and they were very satisfied with the work and the way it turned out and it is now all systems go. MacCumhaill Park is ready for the big game."
