UCC enjoyed a 1-20 to 1-9 semi-final victory over Athlone IT this afternoon.

The Cork students - managed by Billy Morgan - will now meet DIT in tomorrow's final.

Kerry's Conor Cox was once more the leading scorer for the Leesiders as he contributed ten points to their winning tally, while Tipperary senior Conor Sweeney weighed in with 1-5.

Athlone IT - bidding to reach their first final - got off to a dream start when Longford's James McGivney pounced for an early goal but the 20-times winners showed their pedigree as they recovered to hit seven unanswered points and assume a 0-11 to 1-3 interval advantage.

Sweeney and Kieran Martin traded points at the start of the second half but the winners eventually took complete control with another run of scores from Luke Connolly, Peter Acheson, Cox and Sweeney, who subsequently added his major five minutes from time.
