Regan: St Thomas's not content to make up the numbers

Galway's James Regan
James Regan says St Thomas's will be going all out to dethrone Loughgiel Shamrocks tomorrow.
The first-time Galway SHC winners are up against the reigning All-Ireland, Ulster and Arntim kingpins in Saturday afternoon's All-Ireland senior club hurling championship semi-final at Parnell Park and, while accepting the size of the challenge, Regan believes his team are good enough to prevail:
"It is really bonus territory for us now," the Galway star says in The Irish News. "We are a small little club just after winning our first county title.
"Now we face the All-Ireland champions; we have a huge task ahead of us. We are under no illusions about how hard it is going to be.
"But we have worked hard and maybe with a bit of luck, you'd never know what we could do.
"They are the All-Ireland champions - they have all the experience of the big day. They have been there and done it. It is a huge task for us.
"With it being our first time out of the Galway championship, we are heading into the unknown so it will be a huge day for us.
"But we are not going up there to make up the numbers. If we perform, and that's all we can do, then hopefully the result will come right for us. All we can focus on is performing."
