Students develop GAA pitch finder App

January 30, 2013
Four transition year students from All-Ireland Colleges SFC champions St Mary's, Edenderry have developed an innovative app that is a must for GAA fans in the midlands.

Under the supervision of their teacher Gordon Donnell, Mark Abbott, Brian O'Connell, Hakeem Goloba and Gareth Burns have come up with the GAA Map app.

According to their website, GAA Map App: "We are a transition year enterprise group who have all gotten lost on the way to either play or watch a match.

"We then came up with the idea of a FREE app that gives you step by step directions to the pitch that you are going to."

Designed for android phones, the app gives directions to all GAA pitches in Offaly, Kildare, Meath and Westmeath.

It can be downloaded FREE of charge Here.
