La Liga welcomes gaelic football
January 23, 2013

Eire Og Sevilla will play an exhibition game during the interval.
La Liga fans will get a taste of gaelic football during half time of next Monday's Sevilla FC v Granada clash.
Eire Og Sevilla will play an exhibition game during the interval in what will be a first for gaelic football and soccer in Spain.
The exhibition match is the result of a marketing plan undertaken by Sevilla FC to attract foreigners as new members of the club.
Throughout this season they are dedicating each home game to a different country and next Monday night is Irish day!
The plan is that any Irish national who turns up on the night will gain access to the stadium to see the match for a knockdown €5.
The tricolor will fly from the stadium flagpole, the Irish Ambassador will come from Madrid and speak at the start of the game, traditional Irish music will be played before the game and at half time by an Irish music group.
Furthermore, a native Irish speaker will intervene during the game to give it more of an Irish feel and the local Gaelic Football team, Éire Óg Sevilla will be afforded the opportunity to put on a show for the fans.
The half-time exhibition will be broadcast live on Marca TV and the club will play a game with jerseys kindly sponsored by two local Irish owned companies, OPEN school of languages and O'Neill's Irish pub, Seville.
Gaelic football is growing in Andalucía with Eire Og Sevilla, Costa Gaels and Gibraltar Gaels currently competing in the first edition of the Andalusian league and there are now 9 clubs competing at a national level.
