Sligo SHC final: Saints go marching on

Calry-St Joseph's retained the Sligo SHC title with an eight-point victory over Coolera-Strandhill at Markievicz Park.

The holders held a slender 0-10 to 1-6 half-time advantage after Garry Cadden had dispatched a penalty to their net just before the interval.

The sides were evenly matched throughout the second half before substitute Darragh Cox put some daylight between the team's with a goal in the 59th minute.

Kevin Gilmartin added gloss to the victory with a second goal in injury time.
