Offaly's 1982 All-Ireland winning football team will celebrate the 30th anniversary of that memorable success in the county they beat in the final.

Kerry were just two minutes away from completing an unprecedented five-in-a-row when super-sub Seamus Darby scored the most famous goal in the history of the GAA to give the Faithful a sensational 1-15 to 0-17 victory.

Now members of the Offaly '82 team have organised an anniversary celebration which will take place in Tralee next February. They will spend two nights in The Grand Hotel where they will meet up with members of the defeated Kerry team in the Kerins O'Rahilly's clubhouse. They will also have a meal together and fit in a round of golf.
