Conor Gormley doesn't think there is bad blood between Tyrone and Kerry.

The long-serving Tyrone defender scoffs at the suggestion that the sides are bitter rivals after a decade of high-profile championship encounters, the latest of which takes place in Killarney on Saturday.

"I don't think there is any bad blood at all," he told The Irish Daily Star.

"If you look through those games there has been no real melees or sinister stuff going on at all. It's just been hard hitting, man for man, and just going at it 100 per cent for both teams. That's how we've gained respect for each other, from both teams.

"It will be hot and heavy definitely, all go from the first ball, but that's what you train all year for, bad evenings, January, February, the hard slog, the hard training. Games against Kerry are what you live and train for.

"If they see Tyrone coming out in Killarney on their home pitch, it will be a big boost to them, a big spur on to them. You have to go out and prove yourselves any day, no matter who you are playing."
