Liam Shevlin gets the nod at full back on the Louth team to face Westmeath.

The inclusion of the versatile Dreadnots clubman - preferred to veteran Aaron Hoey at No.3 - is the only change made by manager Peter Fitzpatrick to the side that beat Meath in the final round of the national football league, a game that was also played at Navan.

Shevlin comes into the starting XV in place of regular full back Dessie Finnegan, who misses out as he's on his honeymoon.

Geraldines clubman Jim McEneaney - son of Monaghan manager and former Wee County boss Eamonn - lines out at full forward and there's no place in the starting side for Andy McDonnell, despite his decision to defer a trip to the States.

Louth (Leinster SFC V Westmeath): Neil Gallagher; Padraig Rath, Liam Shevlin, Gerard Hoey; Ray Finnegan, Jamie Carr, Declan Byrne; Paddy Keenan, Ronan Carroll; Derek Crilly, Mark Brennan, Adrian Reid; Derek Maguire, Jim McEneaney, Darren Clarke.
