November completion for Connacht GAA centre

GAA President Christy Cooney pictured at the sod-turning for the new 10million euro Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence at Bekan Ballyhaunis Co Mayo.
The third and final phase of the new development is set to begin in the coming days and Purcell Construction, who were awarded the contract are due to be finished towards the end of the year.
A two-storey building is set to be constructed and this will comprise of dressingrooms, gym, physio and medical rooms, reception area, dining area, meeting rooms as well as other facilities.
Already the facility has been used on over 70 occasions as the 3G pitches at Bekan have been used by the various county teams. Tweet
