Paddy Keenan should make his 100th appearance for Louth on Sunday.

The midfielder - Louth's only All Star - had a slight hamstring tweak that forced him out of a SF challenge against Crossmaglen a fortnight ago but has recovered and will captain the Wee County against Westmeath in the Division Two opener at Haggardstown on Sunday afternoon.

The St Patricks clubman sat out last weekend's SF challenge win over Roscommon at Darver but has been cleared for his historic 100th competitive appearance.

Keenan has played 31 championship matches, 55 in the league and 13 times in the O'Byrne Cup and Murphy Cup. He made his Louth debut in 2002 and has scored nine goals and 102 points.

While the Wee County's inspirational captain is set to play, Declan Byrne, Mark Brennan, Sean Connor, Shane Lennon and Andy McDonnell are all ruled out of the Westmeath match.
