Kielt back in the frame for Derry

Derry's Charlie Kielt
Glasgow-based Charlie Kielt could yet feature for Derry in their NFL Division 2 campaign.
The Kilrea dentist moved to Scotland last year for work reasons and wasn't expected to play for the Oak Leafers this year, but with Gerard O'Kane, Lee Moore and Dermot McBride currently sidelined through injury and James Conway facing a two-match suspension, he has answered an SOS to return to the squad and will have his fitness assessed at training tomorrow night.
"It would have to be for the duration of the league, he just can't appear once. I have to see if he's up to it," Derry manager John Brennan explained in the Irish Daily Star.
Brennan remains hopeful that the controversial red card midfielder Conway picked up in last Saturday night's McKenna Cup final defeat to Tyrone will be rescinded.
"The linesmen three metres away did nothing, but the linesman 100 metres away says he saw something. (Colm) Cavanagh committed a very bad tackle on Brian McCallion and only got a tick for it. There's no consistency."
