DJ makes club comeback

Kilkenny legend DJ Carey
Kilkenny hurling legend DJ Carey has come out of retirement.
Inter-county defenders needn't worry, however, as the eight-time All-Star only intends lining out for the Young Irelands junior team. Now 40, Carey trained with the panel in Gowran on Tuesday night and is set to feature in Irelands' JHC campaign where is expected to link up with former Kilkenny team-mate Charlie Carter.
Carey, whose financial difficulties made headlines recently, played his last game for Kilkenny in 2005, while he brought the curtain down on his club career after Young Irelands' defeat in the 2007 Kilkenny SHC decider.
During an illustrious inter-county career which spanned over 15 years, Carey won five All-Ireland titles, 10 Leinster titles, four National Hurling League titles and two Railway Cup medals with Leinster. His tally of 34 goals and 195 points from 57 championship games mark him out as one of the top five scorers of all-time.
He has made more appearances for Kilkenny than any other player and is the county's third highest scorer behind Henry Shefflin and Eddie Keher.
