Ballyboden St Enda's and Dublin Blue Stars ace Paul Ryan helped himself to a massive personal haul as DIT eclipsed Carlow in an entertaining Walsh Cup encounter at Dr Cullen Park on Saturday.

Ryan scored 1-12 on the day, including seven points from placed balls and 1-5 from play.

Wexford youngster Liam Og McGovern scored the college's other goal on the day, part of a DIT full forward line which bagged all but one point of their side's total.

Half-time substitute Rory Dunbar was Carlow's top scorer with 1-2, with Paudie Kehoe converting four frees and Craig Doyle and Jack Kavanagh contributing two points apiece, but the county side had no answer to the college, and in particular the irresistible Ryan.
