Wicklow's Leighton Glynn
Leighton Glynn is looking forward to a punishing three-game schedule which will see him play three games in three different codes in the space of 45 hours this weekend.
The Wicklow star will be part of the Irish International Rules squad for the first test in Limerick on Saturday night He'll be in action again the following day in Navan when his club Rathnew take on Skryne in the Leinster club football championship.
And the next day, the Bank Holiday Monday, Glynn will play his third game in as many days for the Glenealy hurlers against St. Mullin's in the Leinster club intermediate hurling championship at Dr Cullen Park.
"Hopefully, I'll be alive and well by Monday night. It's a busy schedule, but I'm delighted with the opportunity I have been given," he said.
"I'll stay for the meal after (the Rules test) and then head home. I'd prefer to travel from Rathnew to Navan than from Limerick to Navan on the Sunday morning. It's back home on Sunday evening and then off to Carlow on Monday. If things go well for Ireland and Rathnew, it will make it easier for me on Monday.
"I'm only thinking of the Ireland game now and will start looking ahead to the Rathnew game on my way home on Saturday night. Once that's over on Sunday, I'll switch on to the hurling game on Monday."
