Burke joins Tipp football management team
September 23, 2010

Former Fethard and Tipperary star Brian Burke
Former player Brian Burke has been ratified as a new Tipperary football selector.
The Fethard man, who was part of the Tipperary minor team that reached the All-Ireland final in 1984 and subsequently gave many years of outstanding service to the county seniors, replaces Johnny Cummins in the role.
Limerick native Cummins had served as a selector and coach under manager John Evans for the past three years, during which time Tipp were promoted from Division 4 to Division 2 of the National League in successive seasons and also won the Munster under 21 football title for the first time earlier this year.
Burke, who also represented Munster in the Railway Cup, joins John Evans and selector Tom Twomey in the new management set-up.
