Kilkenny GAA secretary Ned Quinn feels that the county can now boost grounds that the rest of the country will envy.

The latest development work to be completed at Nowlan Park sees the seated capacity raised to 17,000 with plans for an additional 1,000 in the near future.

The grounds also now boasts a weights rooms and added dressingrooms that are some of the finest in the country and Quinn feels that the county have every right to be proud of the old venue.

"We now have the facilities we feel we should have to provide for our own and visiting teams and for the staging of inter-county games," said Quinn.

"As we have it now, we have a county headquarters appropriate to our standing in the GAA."
