Wexford's David Murphy
Wexford captain David Murphy is hoping to make home advantage count against Cork in next weekend's All-Ireland football qualifier.
The Slaneysiders were paired with one of the All-Ireland favourites in yesterday's third round draw after their shock victory over Galway in Salthill on Saturday.
"My gut reaction is that I was delighted with the home draw, but would have preferred a team other than Cork," he said.
"It was one of the most difficult games out there, but we are happy to have the game in Wexford Park. We said from the outset that we would be happy with a home draw and that gives us a great boost."
The centre back reported a clean bill of health after the famous win in Pearse Stadium.
"Naturally lads are sore and tired after the Galway game, but we had a get-together in the pool and there were no injuries to report. We are all back training on Monday night and looking forward to the game.
"It's a great opportunity for Wexford football to put their mark on the championship. But Cork are still one of the favourites for the All-Ireland, it's a difficult draw."
