Kerry's David Hennessy
Former Waterford United soccer goalkeeper David Hennessy has been drafted into the Kerry senior football panel by manager Jack O'Connor.
Hennessy, who plays his club football with Kerins O'Rahilly's, received the call from O'Connor after Castleisland Desmonds shot-stopper Ger Reidy decided to withdraw himself from the squad earlier this month.
He is set to provide cover for Brendan Kealy, who lined-out in the number one jersey during last weekend's defeat to Mayo and is expected to do the same when the All-Ireland champions travel to Omagh to take on Tyrone this Saturday night.
O'Connor has been looking for a replacement since All Star Diarmuid Murphy announced his retirement from the inter-county game at the start of the season.
