Campion blow for Laois

March 19, 2010

Brian Campion Laois
Laois hurlers will have to plan for the remainder of the NHL campaign without defender Brian Campion after he broke his thumb against Kildare.

Campion did take his place in the side that faced Antrim last weekend, but an x-ray has revealed that the thumb is in fact broke.

Campion joins the likes of John Brophy, John Rowney, Joe Fitzpatrick and Colin Delaney on the sidelines at the moment. However, Laois manager Niall Rigney has a three week break before his charges face Wexford and he will be hoping that at least some of those players will be back in contention.
