MJ Tierney is planning to join the ever-growing Laois contingent at Dublin club Parnells.

The former Laois Footballer of the Year - who's named at right corner forward for Sunday's clash with Donegal in Ballyshannon - handed in a transfer request to his home club Ballyroan Abbey on Wednesday.

If his transfer goes through, Tierney will hook up with intercounty colleagues Colm Begley and Darren Rooney - as well as former Laois star Colm Parkinson - at the Coolock/Artane club, who also boast Dublin goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton in their ranks. Tweet
