Conor grateful of "handy goals"

Cork manager Conor Counihan
Conor Counihan gladly accepted the "handy goals" presented to his Cork side by Monaghan.
The Rebels came away from Scotstown with a thrilling 3-13 to 3-12 NFL Division One victory on Sunday and the relieved Cork boss admitted that the hosts had played a part in their own downfall:
"Coming out of Scotstown with a win is a bonus any day, that's for sure.
"I suppose we'd be reasonably happy, but we conceded 3-12 and we'd be disappointed about that. So it gives us plenty to improve on.
"The plus side of that is we did score 3-13 and we came from behind, so getting out the right side of it was the positive.
"To be fair to Monaghan, they had ten or eleven wides in the first half and at that stage we would have been in a bit of trouble.
"But we got a number of handy goals."
