NFL 4: Limerick stroll
February 07, 2010
It was all too easy for Limerick as they romped to a facile 0-17 to 1-4 demolition of London at Ruislip.
Mickey Ned's team got an early scare in the English capital when Killian Phair netted for the Exiles, but they gradually took the game by the scruff of the neck to open their campaign with two points on the board.
Despite the concession of that three-pointer, the Treaty County took control with scores from James Ryan and Ian Ryan in particular to lead by six at the short whistle, 0-11 to 1-2.
Nine different players got on the score sheet for the visitors, who finished the day with returns of 0-4 from centre forward James Ryan and 0-6 from full forward Ian.
The latter also had a penalty saved as the Munster county took an easy win.
