Ryan named in Dublin hurling line-up

January 20, 2010
Dublin hurling boss Anthony Daly has named Shane Ryan in his team for tomorrow night's clash with a St. Declan's College All-Star selection. The football convert has been selected at full forward for the Russell Park clash, which throws in at 7pm. It will be followed at 8.30pm by the meeting of the Dublin footballers and a St. Declan's All-Star selection. The St. Declan's football side, which is managed by Bernard Brogan Snr, Jim Borgan, Mick Galvin and John Caffrey, will feature three current Dublin seniors - James Brogan, Kevin Bonner and Bernard Brogan Jnr, while new Cavan recruit Gareth 'Nesty' Smith will line out at centre forward. Ex-Dubs Martin Cahill, Graham Norton, Declan Lally and Senan Connell are also included in the team. Indeed, the St Declan's selection might well have been even stronger were in not for injuries to Alan Brogan (hand), Barry Cahill (abductor) and Shane Supple (knee) while former Dublin panellist Declan Cahill is abroad. The games are part of St. Declan's College's 50th anniversary celebrations.
