Conway takes over Ballinderry
December 21, 2009

Antrim trainer Niall Conway
Antrim trainer Niall Conway will manage former Derry football kingpins Ballinderry in 2010.
Conway, who managed the Derry minors to an All-Ireland final appearance in 2007, replaces James McCartan, who has taken over his native Down. Conway will be assisted by his cousin Paul Conway, Fabian Muldoon and UUJ manager Adrian McGuckin.
"Big Adrian will be doing a bit of the training. He will not be inside the wire during games. He doesn't want to be involved in that part. He wants to look after the coaching aspect," Conway told the Irish News.
A former Ballinderry player, Conway will be hoping to bring the John McLaughlin Cup back to the club after they were beaten by Glenullin in this year's championship. Ironically, Glenullin is the home club of Antrim manager Liam Bradley who, along with Conway, guided the Saffrons to a first Ulster SFC final appearance in 39 years last summer.
