Collins sustained the injury which playing for Connacht in the M Donnelly Inter-provincial hurling final at Croke Park. The nature of the ankle injury meant rehab had to be confined to certain exercises. It all helped with the recovery." The Liam Mellowes clubman has already completed a few triathlons in Ireland and also in Florida where he finished third in the amateur section and 25th among the professionals in a race that involved a 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run.
