Colm Begley
Former Laois ace Colm Begley must decide in the next few days whether he wants to continue his AFL career in Australia but the odds are that he will be decide to come back to Ireland.
Begley has been offered a one-year contract extension by St. Kilda which is worth a reputed 100,000 euros.
The former Stradbally clubman has only just returned to his native county after holidaying in Las Vegas.
AFL agent Ricky Nixon will meet Begley and conclude a deal or otherwise before the end of this week.
"Colm has been offered an opportunity to come back here (Ireland) and work," said Nixon.
"I think at this stage that will probable be what happens.
"He is going to be the first test case of the exit strategy I want to show the GAA for coming back to Ireland.
"We are going to work hard with him to make sure he gets a good job, plays Gaelic footy, enjoys himself, gets back into life here and everything goes well for him."
