Cribbin unveils new selectors

Tom Cribbin
Kilcormac native Declan McGovern and Declan Farrell from Edenderry have been named as Offaly football manager Tom Cribbin's new selectors.
They replace Dermot Dunne of Gracefield and Doon's Vinny Claffey who stepped in at short notice following Richie Connor's removal as manager last February. Dunne and Claffey have cited work commitments as their reasons for stepping down.
A schoolteacher based in Naas, McGovern was in charge of the Offaly minors for the past two years. They reached last year's Leinster final, only to lose to Meath by a point, while this year they lost at the semi-final to Dublin after extra-time. He also guided Carlow to a historic Leinster minor final appearance in 2007.
Cribbin knows Farrell from his time in charge of Edenderry, whom he led to an Offaly SFC title in 2001.
The Clane man will also take of the Offaly under 21s next year with Tullamore's Phil O'Reilly and Doon's Eugene Boland as his selectors.
